Sigh...

Well, I questioned my ability (or discipline) to keep up with this for good reason!!  I am busy, and I have decided I am just old school, if you will.  YES, I am!  I have been wanting a spiral notebook to jot down day to day things and "milestones" in Ava's life since she was born!  ... YES, I have not shared that with you--my daughter made her grand arrival December 13, 2010!!  I will share that story soon.  ha ha

But seriously, I think everyday that I wish I had a spiral...  it hit me last night while I was up with Ava that I could enter the 21st Century and embrace technology, even though it is a little complex for me.  Typing is definitely faster than writing everything down!  SO, I am going to update our little blog backward for a minute.  Sorry. : )   First, meet our sweet little girl--   Ava Jane Rogers.

We are loving life with our little girl.  She is now 7 weeks old and started smiling at us last week.  She smiled at her daddy first.  These are REAL smiles--smiles where she is looking right at you and knows what she is doing!  We keep count every day at who she smiled at more--Mommy or Daddy!  Today I'm winning.  Ava is a strong little thing, she roll from her back to side and side to back, she wants to scoot--without moving her arms. : )

Currently: 

• She eats every 3 hours
• at 6 Weeks old she weighed 8lbs 6 oz and 20 3/4 in long
• she is smiling ; )
• she is learning to make sounds and wants to talk to us (every now and then)
• and OH MY DOES SHE HAVE BIG ATTITUDE!!! 

• We love her more than I ever thought I could. 
• I appreciate my parents and grandparents more than ever before--I understand where they were coming from, now. Wow. 
• I thank my God every day for the precious gift He has given us.
